Terms of service

In effect since 9 August 2026.

The short version

You get a budgeting app built for two. You pay Apple, not us. What Puchi suggests is a suggestion, never advice about what to do with your money. You can leave whenever you like and take your data with you.

Who you are agreeing with

These terms are an agreement between you and:

By creating an account, or by using Puchi at all, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, the honest thing is not to use Puchi.

What Puchi is, and what it is not

Puchi helps two people agree on a budget, log what they spend, and keep a rhythm together. That is the whole job.

Puchi is not a bank, a broker, an insurer, or a lender. It does not hold your money and it cannot move it.

Nothing in Puchi is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. It is a tool for organising your own decisions. Puchi does not know your full situation, and it will never tell you to buy, sell, borrow, or invest in anything. If you want advice of that kind, an independent adviser who is licensed to give it is the right place to go.

The numbers Puchi shows are built from what the two of you put in. If what goes in is wrong, so is what comes out. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

Who can use Puchi

• You need to be 18 or older and able to enter into a contract.
• One account per person, with an email address you actually control.
• Setting Puchi up for a household means inviting your partner, not signing up on their behalf with their details.

Your household, and what your partner can see

Puchi works by putting two people in one household. Once you are both in it, you share a plan: the budget, the categories, the goals, the logged spending, and the rhythm you chose. That is the point of the product, and it is worth being clear about before you invite someone.

Puchi is deliberately built so that neither of you can itemise or audit the other. What it shows is the shared picture, not a report on one person.

Do not invite someone into a household without their agreement, and do not put someone else’s financial information into Puchi without them knowing.

If you delete your account while your partner is still using theirs, your sign-in and personal details are removed and your name is replaced with "Former partner". The shared spending history stays with the household, because it belongs to both of you and removing half of it would leave the other person with a broken record.

Money: subscriptions, trials and refunds

Apple is the seller. When you subscribe, the purchase contract for that transaction is with Apple, and your payment, your receipt and any refund all go through Apple rather than through us.

• Puchi has a free tier that stays free: logging, your streak, your safe-to-spend number, and your first AI-built budget.
• A paid subscription adds the monthly adjustments, goals with projected dates, the Referee, and your full history.
• The trial runs for seven days. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it turns into a paid subscription at the price shown when you signed up.
• You cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings, on your device. We cannot cancel it for you, and neither can Apple support staff acting on our behalf.
• One subscription covers both people in the household. You never pay twice for the same plan.
• Prices can change. If a price changes, it applies to periods after the change and never to one you already paid for, and Apple will ask you to confirm before charging more.

For a refund, ask Apple. We cannot issue one, because we never received the payment. Any right of withdrawal you have as an EU consumer is handled through Apple as the seller.

The AI parts

Some of what Puchi writes is generated by an AI model: the first budget draft, the monthly adjustment, the Money Date summary, and the Referee.

The Referee is a chatbot. You are talking to software, not to a person.

AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Everything it produces is a suggestion that the two of you accept or ignore. Puchi does not decide anything about your money on its own, and it makes no automated decision that produces a legal effect on you or anything similarly significant.

The AI is limited to budgeting and spending on purpose. It will not name, recommend or compare financial products, and if you ask it to, it will tell you that is outside what Puchi does.

Using Puchi fairly

• Do not use Puchi for anything unlawful.
• Do not upload another person’s financial documents without their permission.
• Do not try to break, scrape, reverse engineer, or work around the limits of the service, including the daily cap on Referee questions.
• Do not resell Puchi or pass your account to someone else.

Your data and what you put in

What you put into Puchi is yours and stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it for one purpose only: running Puchi for you. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

You can export everything as a file, or delete your account outright, from inside the app at any time. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what each of those does.

Availability

Puchi is a young product, offered as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or always be free of errors. What we do promise is not to quietly take away something you paid for.

Where our responsibility ends

Nothing here limits anything the law does not allow to be limited. As a consumer you keep every right that Spanish and EU law gives you, including your rights over a service that is not as described, and this section cannot take those away. If any line below reaches further than Spanish consumer law allows, it applies only as far as that law permits.

With that said, Puchi is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will run uninterrupted or without errors, that it suits a purpose you have in mind but have not told us about, or that the figures it produces are complete and correct, because those are built from what the two of you entered.

Our total responsibility to you, across everything, is limited to what you actually paid us in the twelve months before the event you are raising. Where you paid nothing, because you used the free tier, that amount is zero.

We are not responsible for the decisions you make about your money, for what you did or did not do because of something Puchi suggested, or for losses that were not a foreseeable result of us getting something wrong.

Puchi runs on services we do not own, Apple among them, and it needs your device and your connection to work at all. An outage, a change, or a withdrawal of service by one of those providers sits outside our control, as do events nobody controls: a strike, a power cut, a natural disaster, a decision by a government. We are not responsible for what happens to Puchi during one of those, though we will do what we reasonably can to get it working again.

If you cost us something

If you use Puchi in a way these terms prohibit, and that causes someone else to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we face as a direct result. This reaches only as far as what you actually did. It is here for the person who uploads someone else’s bank statements without asking, not for the person who used Puchi normally and had a rough month.

If the two of you stop agreeing

Puchi is used by couples, and couples sometimes stop being couples. It is worth being clear now about what we will and will not do when that happens.

• We do not take sides, and we will not act as a judge between two people over a shared household.
• We act on a request from the account that makes it, for that account. We will not delete, hand over, or hide one person’s data because the other person asked us to.
• Each of you can export the household data and delete your own account at any time, without the other’s permission and without us reporting it to them.
• If we have real reason to think an account is being used to monitor, pressure, or control another person, we can suspend it. Puchi is built so that neither partner can audit the other, and we intend to keep it that way.

Keep your own copy

Puchi is a budgeting tool, not an archive. Export your data every so often if it matters to you. We take backups, but we do not promise to restore anything for you, and we are not responsible for data you no longer have because you deleted your account.

Ending it

You can stop using Puchi at any moment, and delete your account from inside the app. We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, and we will say why beforehand unless the situation is serious enough that we cannot.

Changes to these terms

If we change something that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email or in the app, so you have the chance to stop using Puchi if you disagree. Small clarifications get published here with a new date at the top.

The rest of the fine print

• If a court decides one part of these terms cannot stand, the rest carries on. That part is treated as reduced to whatever the law does allow, rather than taking the whole agreement down with it.
• If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
• These terms, with the Privacy Policy and the AI page, are the whole agreement between us about Puchi. Something said elsewhere, in an advert or an email, does not add to them unless we put it in writing.
• We may transfer this agreement to a company set up to run Puchi, or to whoever takes Puchi over, as long as your rights are not reduced by the move. You cannot transfer your account to someone else.
• We reach you at the email address on your account, or inside the app. You reach us at hola@getpuchi.com, which is the address for every notice under these terms.
• These terms exist in English and in Spanish. The version in the language you were reading when you accepted them is the one that governs your agreement.
• The sections on responsibility, on costs, on your data, and on law and disputes keep applying after you stop using Puchi.

Law, and where a dispute goes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you can bring a case in the courts where you live.
